Oral Surgery

I have debated whether to post a blog about this or not. So here is a warning to those who don't like the dentist and will get squimish about the details of my experience:

i had surgery on my gums yesterday. I had a very bad infection going on deep in my gums and they had to go in and clean it out. How was it done? He cut open my gums and scraped the bones clean. to be honest, he said the worst part would be when he used the needle to inject the novacaine. He was pretty much right. This is Freddy since my mom left the computer unattended. I am injecting this little blurb to let you all know I'm not as cold and evil as I probably come off in this blog.. I just don't have much time to hang out and be all family friendly. I work really odd hours so when I get home everyone's asleep and when I wake up everyone is gone. I can not be blamed for that....
I felt no pain. But I could hear the drill and the scraping. So if I started to visualize what i was hearing, that got a little bad. He also pulled out my wisdom teeth on the right side. The first one came out without me even realizing it. The second was a little harder. I could feel he had to twist around. And then I heard the ripping sound... that wasn't good. Again, no pain, just creepy.

Ok, I just noticed what Freddy put in. I am going to leave it in there as this is, after all, The Nassar News, and all family members are welcome to give their input... Do I make him sound sound evil?? hummm

Ok, back to the surgery. I slept well last night, THANK GOD! I woke up this morning with no pain but I am feeling real queezy and yucky if I spend more than a couple of minutes upright. That's why it's taking me all day to write this.

It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. I think I will be ok for the 2nd round in 6 weeks.

Oh, I hate having dental work done! It's funny though because usually the anticipation is worse than the actual procedure! Hope you get some rest and feel better soon :)
Love and miss ya!

Valerie,

Just take it easy. You need to rest so that your body can get it's strength back. It's gone through a rough ordeal and that takes a lot out of you. Just sleep and heal. AND CALL THAT DENTIST TODAY TO LET HIM KNOW!!!!

Love you and you're in our prayers.
